Our transformational coach and Project Manager are working on the Changing Futures Building Better Opportunities project ’jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund & the European Social Fund.
The Building Better Opportunities projects for Lancashire aim to support those most at risk of exclusion from the labour market and identify, reduce and/or remove barriers to engagement and employment for eligible participants.
The transformational officer will work with beneficiaries from BME individuals who are not in Education, Employment, or any form of volunteering offering wraparound support to move them into or closer to employment.
Whilst the Project Manager develops and maintains key relationships with employers and training establishments, in order to co-ordinate development and delivery of activities that support access to employment
We also Conduct Information advice and guidance sessions with service users and groups (IAG).
In 2018 we are aiming to work collaboratively with partner organisations delivering the BBO programme and to signpost and make referrals where appropriate.
We anticipate bidding for further funding so that we can have capacity for a Project Officer to work on the Building Better Opportunities projects; Age of Opportunity & Invest in Youth, jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund & the European Social Fund.
The team are experienced and have the expertise to assist individuals and groups to overcome inequalities, combat exclusion, discrimination and injustice. Lancashire Equalities delivers education and bespoke training to voluntary community faith based groups.
